BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN

Glowing skin and healthy hair start from the inside out.

Coming up empty on both?  Follow our top tips and you'll have glossy hair and glowing skin in no time!

1. Take your supplements

Take a supplement designed for hair and skin.  We recommend Laviish Skin and Laviish Hair which contain a carefully selected blend of natural nutrients all of which play a specific and beneficial role in supporting the structure, quality, growth and condition of your hair and skin.  Formula's include Vitamins A, C & E , Zinc, Biotin, Iodine, Niacin, Copper, Selenium, MSM, Sea Buckthorn and Goji Berry Extract2. Drink plenty of water

2. Drink plenty of water

Hydrate yourself. Drink lots of water daily, at least 8 glasses if not more.  Water makes up 60% of our bodies – every cell, tissue and organ in our body needs it to function effectively.  So stay hydrated and flush out those toxins and you'll see the effects on your hair, skin a  Also, eats fruits and vegetables that have a high water content such as watermelon, cucumber, orange, strawberry, grapefruit and cantaloupe.

3. Get your hair cut!

We know this sounds counterproductive, but in order for your hair to grow, you need to keep on top of regular trims.  Getting rid of damaged, broken hair and those nasty split ends promotes healthy hair growth and keeps your mane looking its absolute best.

4. Get moving!

Exercise regularly - it is essential to keep us looking and feeling our best. Running, jogging and yoga will give your body the necessary blood circulation, and also accelerate the cleansing process of your entire body. You will notice a glow on your face after working out. Racing against time? Just take a brisk walk around the block.

5. Turn the heat down

Hairdryers, curling wands, tongs, heated rollers, straighteners – they're our best friends.  However, all that excessive heat can take it's toll on our treasured tresses.  Give your hair a day or two off – have fun with braids, ponytails or buns.  You'll thank us when you're having that extra half hour in bed in the morning!

6. Chill Out

Take time for yourself, and try to avoid stress as much as possible. Have you ever noticed that when you are stressed, you tend to break out more? This is because stress creates tiny holes in your cell membranes that lead to water leaking out of your cells, dehydrating your skin and causing fine lines, wrinkles, and a dull skin tone.  Removing these stresses is easier said than done, but taking time to wind down and relax does wonders for our outer appearance.  Consider exercise, yoga, meditation or just a bit of you time. Spend time with friends and family and make time for hobbies and the things you love.

7. Protect against Damage

In order to prevent sunburn, skin pigmentation, wrinkles, and skin cancer, you should always apply sunscreen.  Apply sunscreen generously, and reapply every two hours — or more often if you're swimming or perspiring. Even when it’s cloudy or rainy — you should protect your skin with a sunblock that offers protection from both UVA and UVB rays with an SPF of at least 30. But just like your skin, your hair also needs some love. Look for hair products with UVA and UVB protection, there are many mists that are easy to apply without messing up your style.

8. No Smoking

Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow and makes skin paler. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — the fibers that give your skin strength and elasticity. In addition, it makes hair brittle and stains teeth and fingernails! So kick the habit.  If nothing else, quitting will make you feel better in the long run – and smell better too.

9. Clean up

Make sure you always (and we mean always) remove your makeup before hitting the sheets. The skin needs to breathe overnight. And makeup prevents that, as leaving it on overnight clogs the pores which may cause blemishes and/or blackheads. Don’t possess makeup remover? Just put some olive oil on a cotton pad and gently massage the oil onto your face to get rid of the makeup and dirt.  Cleanse, tone and moisturise and make it your daily ritual!

10. Sleeping Beauty

Try to sleep at least 8 hours every night. If you don’t get enough shut eye, your skin gets tired just like you - it sags and you get bags. So don’t risk it. Getting a good night sleep will not only leave you feeling fully refreshed, but while you're in the land of nod, your skin cells will be working hard to build fresh, healthy cells.  So remember, bedtime is for sleeping - put your phone down, turn your TV off, put your tablet away and get yourself some beauty sleep!
